NYX Haul | Beauty

I recently discovered that a Boots near where I live has a HUGE NYX counter and having heard lots of great things about the brand I knew I had to grab a few bits and bobs to try out. So I must admit I was completely overwhelmed. There were crowds of people around each stand with products literally flying off of the shelves. Well, maybe not literally but you get the idea.

I first started with lip products, and I went a little overboard but I am so glad I did. I first was drawn to the Full Throttle lipsticks, as the packaging looked really sleek and the fact that they are waterproof. I have the colours Kiss the Dust (a nudey mauve) and Night crawler (a very dark plum) and I have worn them both, more so Kiss the Dust, and they are truly amazing. They each have such great pigmentation as well as lasting for ages - I would recommend for both daytime and for evenings out.
I also wanted to try the Soft Lip Creams and their lip liners. To go with the look I wanted for my prom a few weeks back I really wanted a matte dark plum. Luckily I was able to find a lip cream in the shade Copenhagen and a liner, in the shade Dark Soul, which looked great together. Even though  I loved the colour, I found that with the lip cream you needed a few coats in order to get a good bold coverage. However, I do want to try one of the more natural colours and see if they have better coverage.
The Lip Lingerie liquid lipstick was also a product that I was intrigued by because of the hype they have received online. I picked up the shade Baby Doll thinking that it would be a more natural alternative to the other lip products I had bought. However this was an incredibly pale pink that looked a bit weird on me but I did find that it looked great on top of the Kiss the Dust lipstick.

So I also wanted to try out some of the NYX face and eye products. One item that I was most excited for was the Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam as I love a good highlighting product, especially in the summer. Since buying it, I have not stopped wearing it as part of my everyday makeup look so I would definitely recommend to anyone who like a natural glow. As well as this, I picked up the Wonder Stick which is truly an amazing product. This stick, which has a matte highlighter at one end and a contour at the other, makes contouring quick and easy to apply whilst giving a natural look.
The Jumbo Eye Pencil is yet another great quick and easy product. I picked Cottage Cheese (a shimmery white), as it was one of the only colours left, but it has proven to be a great base for my eyeshadow AND a great highlight.

Overall the products I bought were amazing and great value for money. I will definitely be heading back to NYX for more makeup in the future!
